The Saudi national team continued its training today, Tuesday, in Austin, Texas, in preparation for its match against Cape Verde next Friday (US time, Saturday Saudi time), as part of the third round of the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Green Falcons held their training session at Q2 Stadium in Austin under the supervision of head coach Giorgos Donis.
The players were divided into two groups, as the first one, which included the players who started in the match against Spain, performed recovery exercises in the gym and on the field, while the second group conducted a training session that began with warm-up exercises, followed by ball possession drills led by the head coach. This was followed by tactical exercises, and the session concluded with a scrimmage on half the field.
Meanwhile, Hassan Al-Tambakti did not participate in the training session. He received treatment under the supervision of the medical staff after experiencing foot pain following the previous match.
The Saudi national team will hold its training session at 4 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, in a closed training session at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, before the delegation departs in the evening to Houston, Texas, in preparation for the Saudi team’s third match in the World Cup.
