The national beach soccer team defeated Bahrain 5-2 in the first of two friendly matches held this Thursday evening.
The game took place at the Bahrain Football Association’s beach soccer pitch as part of a training camp in Bahrain—running until October 12, aimed at preparing for the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup.
The goals for the Saudi team were scored by Ramzi Dakman (two goals), Majid Shamhani, Walid Al-Youbi, and Salman Al-Rashidi.
During the match, the team's head coach, Brazilian Guga Zolokovic, fielded most of the squad, utilizing player rotations and substitutions, and tested various playing styles to assess the players' technical and physical readiness.
It is worth noting that the draw for the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup placed the national team in Group C alongside Oman, the UAE, and Uzbekistan.
