Yasser Al Misehal, The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, praised the high discipline and spirit which the U-23 national team players appeared during the first stages of the program of preparation for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, scheduled to be held in July.
Al Misehal praised the players' high concentration in working towards the goal of optimal appearances during the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), wishing the national team success in the upcoming stages of preparation and within the tournament competitions.
This came during a meeting with the players that preceded the training session this evening, Saturday, within the National Team preparatory camp, which is currently in the city of Dammam, and extends until the fourteenth of this month.
On the field level, the players continued their training under the supervision of coach Saad Al-Shehri, and the work focused on implementing a defensive tactical exercise aimed at high pressure, followed by the cross-ball defense training.
It is reported that the U-23 national team qualified for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020) after winning one of the qualifying seats in the U-23 AFC Cup in Thailand last January, during which it finished second.
