The players of the national team, on Monday, joined the preparatory camp which has been held in Riyadh, during the FIFA date from 9 to 17 November, as part of preparations for the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The players began the camp by conducting a virus examination for Covid-19, to ensure their safety.

The national team will open its training this evening at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, in the absence of the media.

The national team during its camp will host Jamaica national team in two friendly matches on the 14th and 17th of November at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.

Hussein Al-Sadiq, the director of the first national team said that the importance of the camp comes within the framework of the preparation plan for the second phase of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which will resume in March after a long break due to the pandemic.

Al-Sadiq said that the national team will host Jamaica national team, which has a good position in the FIFA classification, and that gives the coach the opportunity to apply his technical vision for the next stage.
