The results of the 11th regular meeting of the SAFF Board


Today, Tuesday, the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation approved the participation of the first national team in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, which will be held in Qatar, in the first row, based on the report of the technical staff of the national team.

The Council also approved, in its 11th league meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Federation in Riyadh, headed by Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mashal, to allow clubs to participate in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup competition and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League, by requesting foreign arbitration teams for the next sports season 2021-2022, without specifying a ceiling for each Club, while continuing to work on the clubs bearing the financial costs of the foreign staff and fulfilling all the procedures that were approved last season and reported to the clubs at the time, that the request arrives with the completion of all administrative procedures 16 days before the match, regardless of the place of the match.

The meeting began by renewing the blessing on the occasion of the achievement of the national youth team for the Arab Cup under 20 years, which was recently concluded in the Arab Republic of Egypt. To appear honorably in the Olympic forum.

The meeting witnessed a presentation by the Chairman of the Referees Committee, the Swiss, Manuel Navarro, of all the current preparations for the referees for the start of the football competitions for the new season, the implemented programs and the programmed plans for the development of Saudi referees. The local crews managed 226 matches.

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation confirmed the continuation of work to support the local government and create all conditions that would contribute to its development and raise its technical level, praising the levels presented by the Saudi referee last season and its return to managing matches after a hiatus for more than one season.

The Council also commended the distinguished levels of Saudi referees in continental competitions and the confidence of the AFC in the Saudi crews, which have steadily returned to external representation through the work plans and continuous training set by the referees committee.

The council reviewed the reports of the competitions committee, the technical committee, the committee of observers and coordinators, and the financial management of the finished sports season.

The Council also tasked the Competitions Committee with reviewing and raising the value of prizes for the second, third and fourth division leagues and championships for the age groups.

The council agreed to hold a refresher tournament for under-13s, including academies, regional training centers, and clubs wishing to participate, and it will be held in the regions system, during the second half of the 2021-2022 season.
