
An exciting start for the second division league with 10 wins and 21 goals

Last Wednesday, the second division league started in its new season 2021-2022, as the first round matches were held over 4 days.
28 clubs are participating in the new season of the Saudi League for the second division, which were divided according to the draw that was conducted into two groups.
The first group includes Al Bukayriyah, Al-Riyadh, Al Sadd, J, Al Saqr, Al Rawda, Al Sharq, Al Nujoom, Al Arabi, WAJ, Al Liwa, Al Washm, Al Intisar, Tuwaiq and Al zahab clubs.
On the other hand, the second group includes Al-Jandal, Al-Ansar, Hittin, Al-Qaisumah, Al-Takaddom, Al-Najma, Al-Zulfi, Al-Nairiya, Al-Rayyan, Arar, Al-Safa, Al-Taraji, Al-Thuqbah and Afif clubs.
The launch of the new season coincided with the launch of the identity of the Saudi League for the second division for the sports season 2021-2022, during a ceremony held at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium in Al-Ahsa, in the presence of members of the SAFF’s board of directors, Naim Al-Bakr, Moeen Al-Shehri, and the Executive Director of the League Abdulmohsen Al-Dehaimi, before the start of the opening match between Al-Nujoom and Al-Arabi, and it was finished by a goalless draw for the second group.
On Thursday, the round matches continued, with a single match for Group A, which saw Al Saqr beats Tuwaiq 1-0.
On Friday, 6 matches were held, in which Al Sadd defeated Al-Washm 1-0, Al-Bukairiya defeated Al-Zahab 2-0, Al-Riyadh defeated Al-Liwa 2-1, Waj defeated Al-Intisar 1-0 for the first group, while Hittin defeated Arar 2-1 and Al-Jandal defeated Al-Taraji with the same score for the second group.
The first round was concluded yesterday, Saturday, with 6 matches, where Al-Rawda drew with Al Sharq 1-1 for the first group, while Al-Ansar beat Al-Safa 2-1, Al-Qaisumah defeated Afif 1-0, Al-Takaddom beat Al-Thuqbah 1-0, and Al-Nairiyah drew with Al-Rayyan 0-0 and Al-Zulfi with Al-Najma with the same result for the second group.
At the end of the first round matches, Al-Bukayriyah topped the first group with 3 points, with a goal difference from Al-Riyadh, Al Sadd,Waj and Al Saqr, while Al Jandal, Al Ansar and Hittin came at the top of the second group with 3 points for each.
"Hittin" striker Ricardo de Sousa was the top scorer in the Saudi League for the second division after the end of the first round, thanks to his two goals against Arar.
The second round will start next Friday, which will witness 8 matches, as Al Sharq will meet Al-Nujoom, Al-Washm with Al-Rawda, Tuwaiq with Al-Liwa, Al-Arabi with Al-Bukairiya, Al-Intisar with Al-Sadd, Al-Zahab with Al-Saqr for the first group, Al-Najma with Al-Taraji and Al-Jandal with Al-Safa for the second group.
The round will be concluded on Saturday, October 9, with 6 matches between Al-Riyadh and Waj for the first group, Qaisumah with Al-Zulfi, Al-Takaddom with Al-Nairiya, Hittin with Al-Thuqbah, Al-Rayyan with Afif and Al-Ansar with Arar for the second group.
