The draw for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup for the current sports season 2021-2022 will take place next Monday, November 8, at the Rafal Tower Hotel in Riyadh, at 2:00 pm.

The tournament will be held for the second consecutive season exclusively on the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League clubs, after the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation decided last April to continue limiting participation to professional teams, due to the pressure of the matches calendar that will happen due to the final qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, in addition to To the new Arab Cup, which will be held under the supervision of the International Football Association "FIFA", next December, as well as the participation of Saudi clubs in the AFC Champions League.

The tournament starts from the round of 16 with a single-match knockout system, with the draw being undirected and without specifying any levels.

The draw ceremony will take place through two “pots”, the first containing the names of the 16 teams, and the other containing numbers from 1 to 16 inside the balls, as the team will be chosen and then the number will be chosen by random drawing.

The team is placed according to its number by draw, and the team chosen firstly will play its match in the round of 16 at home.

In the quarter-final and semi-final matches, another draw will be held on the same day to choose the match venue for the teams qualified for these two rounds.

Al-Faisaly was crowned the title of the last edition for the first time in its history, after beating Al-Taawoun 3-2 in the match that was held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.
