Five clubs were crowned as Saudi Super Cup Champions.. as Al-Hilal and Al-Faisaly compete for the 8th edition

On January 6, King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh will host the eighth edition of Saudi Super Cup match, between Al-Hilal (the champion of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League) and Al-Faisaly (the champion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques).
The Saudi Super Cup will be held for the second year in a row under the name of (Berain Saudi Super Cup) after the sponsorship agreement approved by Saudi Arabian Football Federation with Berain Water Company last January, a few weeks before the last season’s edition between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.
In recent seasons, the Saudi Super cup completed the local competitions of professional clubs, after the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League.
Al-Fateh is the first to be crowned
The Saudi Super Cup was launched for the first time in 2013 when Al-Fateh (the league champion) met Al-Ittihad (the King’s Cup champion) at King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Mecca, as Al-Fateh won 3-2.
Penalty kicks crown Al-Shabab
In the second edition of the tournament - 2014 - King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh witnessed a match between Al-Nassr (League champions) and Al-Shabab (King's Cup champions), as Al-Shabab won on penalties.
Saudi Super Cup in London
In 2015 edition, for the first in history, The Super Cup match was played outside Saudi Arabia, as the British capital London hosted the super match between Al-Nassr (the league champion) and Al-Hilal (the King’s Cup champion) at the (Lofts Road), and Al-Hilal was crowned after winning with a goal.
Al-Ahly Super Cup Champion for the first time
London hosted the Saudi Super Cup for the second time in a row, at Craven Cottage Stadiumm between Al-Ahly (the league champion) and Al-Hilal (the King’s Cup champion), as Al-Ahly won on penalty kicks, to crown the first Super Cup in its history.
Al-Hilal wins its second title
In this edition in 2018, Al-Hilal (the league champion) and Al-Ittihad (the cup champion) played at Lofts Road in the British capital, London, and on that day, Al-Hilal was crowned champion after winning 2-1.
The first Super Cup for Al-Nassr
In the 2019 edition, Saudi Super Cup returned to Saudi Arabia, as King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah hosted the match between Al-Nassr (League champion) and Al-Taawoun (King's Cup champion), during which Al-Nassr was crowned for the first time after winning on penalty shootout.
Al-Nassr equals Al-Hilal
In the 2020 edition, Al-Nassr was crowned its second title after beating Al-Hilal 3-0 at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh last January.
