The SAFF announces the launch of SAFF+ platform applications on smart devices

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) announced the launch of SAFF+ platform applications on smart devices via the Apple and Android platforms, as part of the Saudi Federation’s efforts to develop the platform and gain greater insight into the content of the electronic platform.
The SAFF had launched the experimental broadcast of the SAFF+ platform to broadcast all matches of local competitions that do not have exclusive broadcast rights, with the aim of establishing a database for youth players to serve the youth teams and clubs in knowing the numbers and data of the players to rely on in technical analysis, in addition to assisting coaches and scouts in discovering talent, and making use of digital data for players to evaluate performance, as well as referees to know the referees’ performance and evaluate their levels, and determine their ability to develop and support, in addition to providing the opportunity for sports fans to follow the matches.
During the trial broadcast, which began on February 27, 2023, the platform aims to broadcast the matches of 20 football competitions, as 70 football stadiums have been equipped so far to be able to broadcast the matches, provided that during the next stages all Saudi football stadiums will be covered.
This step comes within the efforts of the SAFF to contribute to achieving the goals of the Saudi football transformation strategy and was based on 7 pillars, including the path of digital transformation by adopting technical solutions in the fields of performance and health follow-up to serve the path of talent development.
The “SAFF+” cameras, which operate in various weather conditions, have high-quality technology, and are multi-lens and multi-angle, to ensure coverage of the entire area of the stadium, and with cloud broadcast technology without human interference in production and photography, as there will be a central broadcast center in Riyadh to manage and transmit events via the platform.
