The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) issued the schedule of
matches for the first division league for women for the season 2024-2025 season, after amending the
system from a regional round-robin to a full round-robin system with the participation of 10 teams:
Riyadh, Abha, Al-Anqa, Al-Himmah, Jeddah, Neom, Al-Sha’la, Ittihad Al-Nusour, Al-Bairaq, and Al-
Wehda, with a total of 90 matches over 18 rounds.
The SAFF also approved updating the amount of financial prizes for the first division for women, as the
team that wins first place will receive a financial prize of seven hundred and fifty thousand Saudi riyals,
while the team that wins second place will receive a financial prize of five hundred thousand Saudi
riyals, and the team that achieves third place will receive a financial prize of three hundred and fifty
thousand Saudi riyals.
Alia bint Abdulaziz Al Rashid, Director of the Women’s Football Department, pointed out that the
success of the second season of the First Division League contributed to developing the league system
and raising the level of competition between the participating teams.
"We seek in the next season to provide a different experience for the first division league and work on
developing the technical and physical capabilities of the players, which will positively reflect on the
national teams", she added.
It is worth noting that the Al-Ula team won the title of last season's Women's First Division League and
advanced to the Women's Premier League for the 2024-2025 sports season, while the Al-Taraji and Al-
Amal teams advanced to the Women's Premier League after obtaining second and third places.
