The Director of the Women's Football Department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rashid, in the presence of the Director of Special Projects for the Women's Football Department, Shawq Al-Saleh, crowned Najma Jeddah team as champions of the first edition of Women’s 2nd Division League
Najma Jeddah was crowned after winning the final match against Al-Nahda Club with a score of 5-0, in the match that was held at King Abdulaziz University Stadium in Jeddah.
The tournament witnessed strong competition, as the teams played the group stage in a two-round league system (home and away) regionally, before the matches were decided in the knockout rounds until the final.
The organization of the tournament comes within the efforts of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to promote women's football, expand the base of participation, and provide the opportunity for players to prove their abilities in an integrated competitive environment.
