The Saudi Schools Tournament continues its competitions under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) and in partnership with the Ministries of Sports and Education.
This exceptional edition aims to promote the practice of football in schools and discover talent at an early age.
This edition is being held in 40 cities and governorates across the Kingdom, targeting three age groups: Under 15, Under 12, and Under 9.
For the first time in the history of the league, an Under 9 category for boys has been included, in addition to the Under 12 and Under 9 categories for girls. This reflects a growing interest in younger age groups, supporting the SAFF's strategy to build a promising sports generation that will serve the future of clubs and national teams.
In this context, the Under-15 boys' category enters the finals week, with 40 final matches taking place across various cities and governorates. Meanwhile, the Under-15 girls' category, along with the Under-12 and Under-9 boys' and girls' categories, continues its home-and-away group stage matches.
More than 42,000 students, representing 1,575 boys' schools and 972 girls' schools, are participating in the league, playing on 224 sports fields—119 for boys and 105 for girls—reflecting the scale of participation and interest in the league from across the Kingdom.
The league is closely monitored by club scouts and coaches to identify talented players and facilitate their transition to developmental pathways provided by the federation and clubs, thus enhancing the future readiness of the national team base.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation affirms that the Schools League is a strategic tributary to building a solid national football foundation, enabling the expansion of talent discovery and promoting a culture of sports in schools, in line with the Kingdom's football development goals.
This project also embodies a long-term vision that invests in early age groups, as they are the foundation for creating generations of athletes capable of representing the Kingdom in regional and international forums, and supporting clubs with qualified national talent from the early stages.
