
The AFC Presidents and Secretaries Conference concludes

The Asian Football Confederation Presidents and Secretaries Conference concluded today, Saturday. The conference, which began yesterday, Friday, in the capital, Riyadh, hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, will continue until tomorrow, Sunday. The conference was attended by AFC President His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, SAFF President and FIFA Council Member Yasser bin Hassan Al-Mishal, FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström, and a number of prominent sports figures from around the world.
The second day of the conference opened with a presentation by AFC Secretary General Dato' Windsor, who discussed the marketing and commercial details of Asian competitions, Professor Simon Chadwick then spoke about the importance of education in capacity building and its significance in developing football on the continent.
FIFA's President of Member Associations, Ilkan Mammadov, presented the international body's strategy for developing relations between member associations. A panel discussion was moderated by AFC Deputy Secretary General for Member Associations, Vahid Kordani, with the participation of the general secretaries of the five regional associations in Asia, who reviewed their respective associations' plans and strategies.
Frédéric Guillaumet, CEO of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), also gave a presentation on ensuring high performance in daily operations, Ghoshan Hatko, Founder and CEO of Hatco Sports Technologies, concluded the second day with a session on the latest developments and technologies in football pitches.
The conference is scheduled to conclude tomorrow, Sunday, with the participation of Heather Garriock, CEO and Acting General Secretary of Football Federation Australia, Regis Younan, Global Vice President of Glute, and Patrick Knight, Chief Strategy Officer of City Football Group.
