
Al Shams crowned champions of the Saudi Women's Second Division League 2025-2026

The Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Lamia bin Bahyan, and the Director of Women's Football at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Alia bint Abdulaziz Al Rashid, crowned Al Shams Club champions of the second edition of the Women's Second Division League.
The club secured the title after defeating Al Qunfudhah 2-1 in the final match, which was held at Al Saigh Stadium in Riyadh.
The tournament witnessed fierce competition, with teams playing a double round-robin (home and away) group stage in regional competitions, before the knockout rounds determined the finalists.
Individually, Kawthar Mughili received the Best Player award, while Maryam Sassi won the Best Goalkeeper award, and Hadi Wali was crowned Top Scorer, in recognition of their outstanding performance and significant contributions throughout the season.
The tournament also resulted in the promotion of three teams to the Women's First Division: Al Shams, Al Qunfudhah, and Al Hijaz. Their impressive performances reflected their improved technical level and competitiveness, a move that will enhance their presence in the upcoming season at a higher level of competition.
The tournament was organized as part of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's efforts to promote women's football, broaden participation, and provide players with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities in a comprehensive competitive environment.
