The SAFF extends Al-Harbi's contract as technical director of the NT U-17

This came on the sidelines of the meeting that the Secretary-General of the Saudi Football Association Ibrahim Al Kassim gathered with the technical director, Abdul Wahhab Al-Harbi, today, Wednesday, at the Federation headquarters, in the presence of the supervisor of the Youth national teams, Dr. Khaled bin Muqrin.

The two-year extension of the contract came with the aim of starting the long-term preparation program for the national team to qualify for the AFC U-17 Cup 2023, and qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023.

Abdul Wahab Al-Harbi, who holds an Asian training license (PRO), has coached the national under-16 team since 2018, as part of a long-term preparation program for the AFC Asian Cup 2020 and qualifying for the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2021, which were canceled by the International and Continental Federations respectively in Under the circumstances of the "Covid-19" pandemic.

It is worth noting that Al-Akhdar's technical director, Abdul Wahab Al-Harbi, won the AFC Elite Trainers Award for the year 2019 as Coach of the Year, for his distinguished work with the U-16 national team during that period.
