The draw for the first edition of the Saudi Women's Super Cup was held today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).
Four clubs participated in the draw, whose names are: Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Qadisiyah, and Al-Shabab.
The draw resulted in two highly anticipated semi-final matches: Al-Qadisiyah will face Al-Nassr, while Al-Shabab will face Al-Ahli. The winners will advance to the final.
The tournament will be held from September 4 to 8, 2025, in a single-elimination format. If a match ends in a draw, a penalty shootout will be used to determine the winner, without extra time.
The tournament also represents a continuation of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's efforts to expand the scope of local women's competitions and enhance competition between clubs. The identity of the second edition of the Women's Super Cup was inspired by the identity of the Men's Saudi Super Cup, to unify the visual appearance of the tournaments and enhance organizational professionalism in local competitions.
For her part, Ms. Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Director of the Women's Football Department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, emphasized that organizing the first edition of the Super Cup reflects the Federation's commitment to providing a highly competitive environment, which contributes to the development of clubs and players alike.
The participating teams are looking forward to delivering outstanding performances in the tournament, which represents a new step toward enhancing the development of women's football in the Kingdom.
